What should I know before attending the church ceremony?
Our wedding will take place during the Divine Liturgy, the main worship service of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. This is a sacred religious service where we will receive the Sacrament of Marriage before God.
Please help us honor the sanctity of the service by:
- Arriving 30–45 minutes early.
- Silencing your phone before entering.
- Keeping conversations and movement to a minimum once the service begins.
- Respectfully observing if you are unfamiliar with the traditions; everyone is welcome.
